Rock Garden Lower Dec 26 2011 HS in location is 280cm, bottom of pit is NOT the ground.
This location was a wind loaded area intentionally chosen to evaluate new wind slab structure and sensitivity. The layers were measured top down and only represent 120cm of a 335cm snowpack. The basal faceted layers were felt with a probe approximately 290cm from the snow surface.
